A better question is what other religions are there? I mean we know Mega Fug's basically worshiped as some deity or savior in Hoenn, same with other legendaries like Ho-Oh and the Original Dragon. But what else?

Probably different regional deities worship with the most common religion at least in the Japan-based regions overall being Shinto-based. Unova and Kalos are mostly non-religious people that had Taoism/Christian and Hindu/Norse/Celtic composite religions respectively in the past which are not actively done often.

It's a world that's crawling with creatures that can shape time and space at will, sink continents, dry out oceans, fly between worlds or even create new ones. What the fuck else do you think the people there would view as gods?

I think religion in Pokemon is like Shinto in Japan. It's a bunch of non-centralized cultural practices that vary significantly by region based on some general tenets and it's more about the rituals and formalities than about any strong ideological/spiritual beliefs. Japanese people are very flexible about religion so this makes sense in my head.

Then again that church in Hearthome is very Catholic by design, so maybe it represents an emerging, more doctrine-based religion in Sinnoh.

I liked to hatch eggs in there so it would say so in the pokemon description. Not even religious.
