Baltoy and Claydol kind of fucking that up. And now that Normal is being more liberally applied to dual types it's also blurring the "regular land animals" line.

The difference between Rock and Ground is extremely arbitrary. Basically if the Pokemon is more brown than grey it's Ground, and it's Rock if vice versa.
