Its a shame Lurantis has a high chance of being PU. The only benefit of it's concept that it'll be a grass type that would learn lots of Bug moves to not be walled by other Grass types, when Bug is not the best offensive type to complement Grass. It'll probably barely have any coverage moves too as it's a curse for most Grass types unless you have a secondary STAB. No physical Hidden Power exists either(yet), the poor thing.

Night Slash, Slash, Possibly Dragon Claw
It could do really well desu
>>27787568
I guess something like weavile fast and hit hard.
>>27787568
Nothing, its fate is sealed.
>>27787568
my dick inside of it
It's guaranteed to be absolute garbage unless it has an absolutely insane HA.
It's just another leafeon
>>27787665
I agree anon
>>27787568
Chlorophyll (I'll actually be mad if they dont give it).
Jolly/Adamant
-Solar Blade
-Rock Slide
-Night Slash/Psycho Cut/Shadow Claw/X Scizor/Poison Jab
-Knock Off
There are possibilities for sure. Plus, let's not forget the Z-moves. If it learns something like Sand Attack, boom Ground Coverage. Fire coverage ? Sunny day, but you don't forget, only one time use, so.
>>27787611
It would literally be worse than leafeon, unless lurantis gets top tier stats.
Leafeon gets leaf blade, x scissor, and knock off, along with the more useful chlorophyll.
Leavanny also gets chlorophyll, leaf blade, x scissor, and night slash. Leavanny's stats aren't good, but chlorophyll and stab on those bug attacks might make leavanny more usefull
>>27787568
It literally just needs enough speed and attack to outclass Leafeon. Or some absurd HA.
>>27787728
I'm really not seeing it get rock slide. Only a couple of huge bulky grass types get that. Leaf blade will almost certainly be better than solar blade unless it's twice as powerful as solar beam.
But as me and another have said already, it's way too similar to leafeon so far, and leavanny is interesting competition with sticky web
I will use it anyway. And I'll probably be hunting for its shiny form too. Lurantis is my favorite gen 7 mon so far, and nothing I've seen is looking to change that.
Hidden Ability increases damage of all claw moves.
>>27787833
Basically tough claws? Unless you want a bigger boost for more specifically limited moves.
>>27787870
Not him, but I could see it. Like a 50% boost to blade/slashing moves. Give Lurantis Psycho Cut, Night Slash, Leaf Blade, and access to a decent speed tier and its set.
>one of my favorite pokemon so far
>gets fucking leaf guard when nearly everything else gets some new useful looking ability
th-thanks GF
here's to its HA not being shit
>>27787568
All depends on stats, really. Or if it gets a ridiculous ability like Serperior did. Though, I don't really have much hope for it. It just looks like the kind o pokemon that would be a shitmon.
>>27787665
Good taste anon
>>27788054
I guess we have another beedrill case
I fucking love beedrill design wise, but has garbage statsgen 7 mega anyone?
>>27787568
The onky way to save the grass type is to increase the benefits from grassy terrain.
From the list of Pokemon with leaf guard, almost all of them also get chlorophyll. Meganium obviously has only one slot for a non-overgrow ability so that's somewhat irrelevant, and Roselia loses Leaf Guard for Technician when it becomes Roserade anyway. Chances are Lurantis' hidden ability will be chlorophyll.
