You can ohko them with earthquake. It barely takes longer than a normal encounter and you get 5x the EVS. So it's actually less boring and tedious than ev training without hordes.

I really wish they had implemented a bit more into the sky battles

For example having 3 altitudes(low, mid, high) and then you choose an altitude and a move, based on that the move will be more or less accurate or something different, just not literally a normal battle with limited roster.

Not really into EV training but I liked horde battles.

They could get intense when you didn't have a Pokemon who could hit them all at once out. It was fun.

There's nothing fun about using a Flying-type on your team, a Flying-type that already knows the move Fly, finding a Sky Trainer, challenging them to a battle, and them saying "tee hee you don't have any Pokémon that can fly!" because your Flying-type has a grounded model in battles. It's also not fun to see how much they butchered Pokémon like Xatu that they DID give flying models to for no reason but to appease the sky trainers.

Fuck Sky Battles. Fuck you.
