if one of them is holding a destiny know, the child will take 5 ivs from the parents

if you're just breeding to shitty skittys together they have a random chance of getting 31s, but if you breed one parent with 31s and make it hold a destiny knot it will force transfer 5 random ivs from the two parents, so you can slowly build up to get better IVs

ah i see, when you add someones friend code, they get a safari option added based on you, you can't change it, its randomly chosen based on character data or something, but its set. so anyone that ads you for instance will get a rock one based on you. sharing friendcodes wont give me all the safaris you have
