The backsprite is horrible fag. its whole finger is extended not even in nose, if anything its poking the nose.

Also the hand is basically holding the back of the skull, not the jawline or temporal lobe of the head like one usually does when laying down.

Probably to express how close your Pokemon is to you. Back Sprites in RGBY are all blown up in size similar to Gen V, because of their true size many Pokemon came out looking mangled and off model. Luckily gamefreak realized this looked retarded and stopped doing it in Gen II.
