L-Look, lots of people are scared of r-rocks. It's a completely n-normal fear...
>>27761728
I know it's just ironic bantz, but Fairies are actually pretty bad at stopping Dragons. They're nearly always slow and physically weak, often getting outsped and OHKOd by super effective coverage or even just neutral secondary STAB.

How do you stop fairies from getting btfo by faster dragons that have access to steel/poison moves.
>>27762202
you can't. I don't know why they act like this super effective is more dangerous than any other super effective.
>>27762202
Because nobody runs dragons with poison/steel moves outside of Flash Cannon Hydreigon and Dragalge (which gets STAB). Dragons get BTFO'd by fairies, which then in turn get BTFO'd by actual competent Steel types like Scizor. Nobody uses Dragon STAB anymore because they fear Fairies.
>>27762681
I've encountered plenty of dragons that use iron tail and sludge bomb for fairy coverage. I don't know what you are talking about

And Mega Diancie has 110. Do you even think before you post?
>>27763292
>showdown
>implying I play that shit
>>27763326
So then what do you play? What sorts of formats do you play where you encounter Dragons running Poison and Steel STAB?
>>27763352
Shit. Meant coverage, not STAB.
>>27763352
I just play cart. And it's not about STAB, it's about coverage moves. Most fairies are not bulky enough defensively to survive getting hit with an iron tail or poison jab.
Dragons are cooler than fairies though
>>27763304
>>27763315
Speed tiers are decided before going mega. However, Mega Diancie is then stuck with lower defenses.
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Solar Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Mega Diancie: 280-330 (116.1 - 136.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Still a 25% OHKO chance against normal Diancie, or 81.3% with a +SpA nature.
>>27761946
>252+ SpA Mega Charizard Y Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Diancie: 180-214 (59.2 - 70.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
>0 Atk Diancie Diamond Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Charizard Y: 532-628 (179.1 - 211.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Ranked matches? Or unranked Battlespot and Passersby matches? If the latter, then you can fuck right off. Especially if they're running a shitter move like Iron Tail.
Most fairies are bulky enough to tank a non-STAB Steel or Poison move, especially if they're special, since most are built with that level of bulk. Not to mention that Dragons would rather run both Ground and Fire coverage over Poison/Steel for a reason. Poison/Steel are weak offensive types, and are way too situational because they're only useful against fairies. Meanwhile Ground and Fire at the same time allow dragons to hurt a lot more opponents, and a larger variety. Ultimately running Iron Head is sacrificing a moveslot for the purposes of hitting fairies, when you can just run better coverage and hit more things, which accepting your BTFO from fairies on your dragon and having an actual Steel or Poison type in the back to counter them.
The trade off is much more in favor of running wider coverage to hit more types of mons, than just running a Sterl move, which is really only situational against Fairies. That kind of coverage to hurt fairies, ironically, leaves you with more counters and more that can hurt you, because you're running an inferior offensive type on it. Hence why most (good) Dragon types go for Dragon/Fire/Ground coverage.
