One of my favourite characters of the series, and I really liked the relationship between him and Ghetsis, even if you didn't get to see a lot of it until BW2. He was misguided, but he was smart enough to come around once he realised he was being manipulated, and became a solid good guy in the latter parts of BW and the whole of BW2.

Well, I think he is self aware enough to realize that he can't take on a huge gorilla or a guy that wields the sword of his god. N's probably my favorite character in the series, period. And to be totally honest that's probably in no small part thanks to /vp/. He is one of the most developed characters who has some of the most complicated motivations and backstory in the games, but I'm not sure I would have appreciated as much of it if it weren't for N threads pointing shit out.

There was also the pre=BW hype where people were constantly speculating about what kind of character he was. He's an angel, he's a Pokemon, he's a bunch of triangles, he's a swedish eurobeat singer. It was all a bunch of silly wicked fun.

So there are reasons, in game and out, that endear him to me.

I don't like him because he's out of place. The whole "deluded royalty" gimmick he and Ghetsis have going on would have fit better in an old monarchy like Kalos than Unova. New York isn't known for its retractable subterranean castles, but Kalos has two castles open to the public, so a secret third one wouldn't be out of place. Likewise, Lysandre's high-tech corporate terrorism would fit in better in an urbanized area like Unova.

Overall I give it 9/11, would like to see more ethically challenging antagonists in Pokemon. Maybe something to do with the number of god like legendary Pokemon that are appearing and their propensity to be living nuclear weapons prone to sudden outbursts of divine wrath whenever their game version equivalent is within the range set by the restraining order. So a team that is anti-legendary Pokemon.
