I'll join the chorus of "Best starter". Certainly the best in Sinnoh, although it's a really good trio so he has some tough competition.

Really cool design. I traded for one midway through my first playthrough of Pearl and it was only after it learned Leaf Storm that I was able to beat Cynthia. I hadn't known the attack existed before that, so it was even more awesome.

Don't like him as a Pokemon but I love the fanart of him where people ride on his back on his back under a beautiful tree so I have a soft spot for it.

I haven't played GenIV other than HGSS but I like this dude and he's one of few designs I love past gen II. Maybe's it's because I love island turtles and I love dinosaurs but he's cool.

I wish he would get into Smash. He'd be much more interesting than yet another humanoid addition.
