No, its already been confirmed that non-Alolan Vulix will become non-Alolan Ninetales. Presumably it would work for all others. Can't remember where i saw it confirmed but i cannot be bothered to find it.

The thing is that it's not an "special atmosphere". It's "biological adaptation" in GF terms. They adapted, not magically changed.

The real question is if these Pokemon will stay in these forms if they're traded to other regions eventually or to the Pokemon Box and such.

Its going to make future gens real interesting if they do, same goes for Megas.

Im guessing all Pokemon with alolan forms will exclusively be alolan if caught or evolved in Alola.

There will be somethink like a Safari Zone or Trophy Garden which gives access to Aloan forms in the next gens. Spiky Ear Pichu and Cosplay Pikachu will be lost forever, however.

Its not like a traditional form, its more of a subspecies, if you trade it to a future, non-alolan game, it will stay in it's alolan form. Same goes for how if you trade a marowak from say, the VC red and blue versions, it will stay in its kanto form (this was actually why they included that transfer feature to the VC release).

What I have to wonder is, will kanto cubone evolve into alolan marowak? Will dual-stage alolan forms also keep their form or switch? Will a kanto vulpix evolve into an alolan ninetales or will only alolan vulpix evolve into alolan ninetales.
