ITT: moves who's portrayals in the anime you were disappointed by.
>Hydro Cannon is a powerful continuous stream of water, fitting for an elemental Hyper Beam
>just a circular blob of water in the anime that looks less impressive than Hydro Pump
Frenzy plant is just a bunch of elongated turds shooting out of the ground.

>Frenzy plant is just a bunch of elongated turds
Accurate to the source material then.
>The user slams the target with an enormous tree.
It's literally just summoning tree roots.
Eh, they just interpreted it as a hydro cannon BALL. I can understand that, especially as a way to differentiate it visually from hydro pump.

>using Tierno's shitmons of all things as reference
Also HP's animation even in games change
>original XY episode 2 Garchomp clearly uses Dragon Pulse
>loli it's Hyper Beam
gave me a hearty autism fit
>>27670554
Gary's Blastoise did it the same way.
>>27670619
Hyper Beam's animation got changed from an orange beam to a black beam in XY. Dragon Pulse's animation changed from a blue orb pre-XY to a dragon-shaped energy stream in XY.
Different animation team does things differently. Stone Edge is another example.

>Blastoise has water spouts that protrude from its shell. The water spouts are very accurate. They can shoot bullets of water with enough accuracy to strike empty cans from a distance of over 160 feet.
It's suppose to match the pokedex entry

Hyper Beam was changed in BW.

>hating anime Frenzy Plant

>leech seed is suposed to slowly drain the enemy and regain your health
>Everytime leech seed is used in the anime it's an uncounterable instakill
>>27676913
To be honest, the only time I ever remember Leech Seed being used is when Ash's Bulbasaur used it to beat Brandon's Dusclops.
>>27670619
>he doesn't know how based Dragon Pulse is now
it produces a hydra depending on how strong the mon is
>>27677177
I started rewatching the show from season 1 again.
It's not used very often but so far every time i see it used in kanto and Johto it instakills.
>>27670554
Hydro Pump has 2 different animations in the same episode.
When it's regular Blastoise it shoots water bullets like OP's pic but after it mega evolves it's more like a beam
For reference:

>>27673098
but why can't it hit full cans ?
>>27681347
because the weight of the liquid affects the gravity and makes the bullets curve :^)
>>27677326
Visually a move that just lays roots in the ground that sap strength but otherwise doesn't hinder your opponent is shitty. Not sure where the instafaint comes from though
