Fondest memories of 4th gen.
"I DIDN'T HAVE ANY CORN!"
The hype for Gen V, and that realization that Gen IV would soon be over.
Knowing my favorite pokemon ever was a world champion.

Before it sold it's soul to Tobias...
I was in Denmark at the time and Sinnoh felt a lot like Denmark while I played. I also went in blind and loved the whole game. The Pokemon, the gym leaders, especially the region, the underground with friends, the online features, everything was perfect. Still my favourite gen.

Once, when I was playing Diamond, I had just caught Giratina and I was trying to hurry and get out so I could heal my party (because I was an acorn and didn't think escape ropes were useful), and I ran into a wild Pokemon and it was a shiny Bibarel. Idk if those were even suppose to appear there but there it was. It was like level 55 or some shit. I caught it and traded it away though. I'm pretty sure that cartridge was glitched beyond saving though.

the underground. probably one of my favorite region exclusive features of all time. i'm actually replaying platinum right now just because i remembered the good times i had with friends, stealing each other's flags and setting traps. good shit.
The trek up Coronet to catch the legendary was so climactic. It really felt like everything was on the line without being too overbearing. It was one of the series best set pieces in my opinion. I really like how involved Dawn, the rival, and the professor were all involved in the story.
