>Diglett used Mud-Slap!

why does heatran look like a jellybean with down syndrome
>>27656352
Why am I fucking imagining that one video of the guy shooting a golf tee into its head and exploding, just replacing the guy with Diglett and the gator as Heatran.
I need this in my life now
>>27656352
The funny part is it'll do 0. I would use Jellicent to come in and stop Heatran but Scald would do like under 30%. If Heatran had recovery it'd be ridiculous.

I think it might actually be the worst design for a Pokemon in the series. Even worse than the genies and musketeers.
>>27656574
I feel like when talking about bad design we should separate it into categories. Like, Heatran is a shoe-in for the "Ugly Design" category, while Voltorb would fall under "Bland Design"
>>27656639
We also need to differentiate between Pokemon that do ugly well (Weezing) and Pokemon that do ugly poorly (Heatran).
>>27656667
that's another good point. Maybe "Unintentionally ugly" would be a better name for it
>>27656667
Heatran does ugly well though. It's a rugged, melty lava gecko.

I think stuff like Black/White Kyurem do the whole "ugly abomination" thing just fine, but Heatran just has a couple details too many and looks more like a mess than an intentional abomination.
I think my main problem with it is that it looks too round. When I think of a scary monster inhabiting a volcano, I imagine that it would have a really jagged design, but instead what >>27656395 says here is a little true; it looks like a jelly bean.
