I hope they're more like Team Rocket in the sense that you're fighting them simply because it's the right thing, rather than fighting them to prevent some ungodly natural disaster.

My idea is sort of similar to yours:

>Team Skull Boss looks like some spoiled rich kid
>he's the disowned heir to the alola royal family
>he wants the royal family to put more effort into modernize and making the islands more profitable
>wants to tear down cultural sites and build hotels
>family is very traditionalist and doesn't like this
>he gets disowned and fucks of to make his own team and own money
>team is almost entirely funded off his mom sneaking money and food to him cuz he a good boy he dindu nuffin

Sounds like a subplot of an antagonist in Kill la Kill. That's it!
