Those CP are too low to invest in it, even if it has perfect ivs. Plus, the final moves counts too.

The priority order when you want to evolve anything is this: starting CP, then final moves, then IVs.
Anything caught/hatched before you reach lvl 20 is a waste in any case, besides collection purposes ofc

With how much more difficult it is to save up stardust and candies the higher level you get (Pokemon take more stardust and candy to lv up, wild mons are harder to catch), I think there should be a higher stardust reward when catching a Pokemon the higher lv you are, and a better exchange rate when transferring a Pokemon.

It's not about the size of your country really. I live in a small shithole of a country in Europe. In the capitol or bigger cities the game experience is great, but go to any smaller town and you'll get like 2 stops and 2 gyms tops. If you're lucky!
Also we have one of the biggest lakes in EU. Visited it last week. No water types came.

That kinda sucks. Were you there for awhile? If so, then I feel you. I live right by one of the Great Lakes, so that's an option for me to get water types but it's hard to get there, but there's plenty of rivers nearby that spawn thousands of bulbasaurs, staryus, and slowpokes.

With how rare it is to get any other type, I feel for people in sparse areas, especially geographically. Sure, I caught a geodude once, but that was probably a lucky proc. Must suck to be somewhere and catch a cool mon and know you'll probably never be hatching it unless you get lucky with eggs.

You'd also think there should be a lot more pokestops in Europe with its great history, but I guess every down is different. My towns downtown core has a pokestop for ever sponsored bench, memorial rock, etc. It's kind of nuts.

no. evolve anything you want first, to see if you get the moves you want *before* you invest stardust in it. If you get real shitty moves you're stuck with any investment you made in it.

If you get the moves you want, then it's up to you whether you want to put tons of Stardust into a perfect IV mon, or less stardust into an imperfect one. Sometimes you have something like a Lapras and fuck all Lapras candy, so you just use the highest CP catch. Other times you have an Eevee and tons of the candy, so you don't mind maxing it out despite the stardust cost.

So step 1) Check IVs until for something you're happy with
step 2) evolve to see what moves it gets
step 3) invest shit tons of stardust in

That's not bad at all. IVs barely matter and the difference between 100% and 75% is like, 4 points from each stat. And there's no speed stat in the game, so the difference between taking 26 damage instead of 25 or dealing 48 damage instead of 50 is so stupidly low it's not even worth mentioning. On something with like 220 HP, that turns a 4KO into a 4KO.

Pokemon have attack, defense and stamina stats.

All of the same type of pokemon will have the same "Base" stats at any one level. The IV's are "Extra", from 1 to 15, ontop of these 3 stats. A pokemon can be lucky and max out all of them, having 15 extra attack, defense and stamina, thus being a "100%" pokemon.

It's basically random but people believe that pokemon from eggs tend to have better IV's.

Did the same and ended up with an 1100 CP venusaur doing the evo in 2 steps in about 2 weeks. Now I know about iv stats, so I'm trying to find the best Bulbs and evo him up all the way to venusaur. So far I'm at around 25 candy and haven't found a better Bulbs than about 50% when it comes to iv. Man... These Bulbs are bitches...

Drowzee are more common in the cities in general. After I visited center I got enough Drowzees to make them my #2 most caught mon and they were even quite close to Pidgeys. Now it's back to Rattata but difference is small.

Well even a useless pokemon with mid-range CP can be sort of useful. Supposing a gym only has 2 mons in between like 1k and 2k, as long as they're not top tier you can take them down with a rag-tag team of 600-1.2k shitmons as long as your type advantage is thought out well enough.

I do it to save potions / revives / get extra use out of shitmons I'm going to transfer when they die

I used all my plant and electric shitters + only 1 seadra with hydro pump, all about cp 400-1k to take out a gym with slowbro, arcanine and a vaporeon (ranging 1.1 to 1.8k).

I do feel like the xp system needs an overhaul. Like, there should be xp given for catching higher level and/or higher CP pokemon, and more stardust and candies. Only getting 100 xp from catching either a 10 CP pidgey or a 900 cp Onyx seems stupid.

Niantic fucked up and gave a sandwich shop around the corner from me two pokestops for the same wall mural, plus there's a sculpture behind it that's also a pokestop. Good shit spawns over there too.

They were lured 24/7 when the game started out, now they're lured about 3-5 times a day, funny as fuck watching that usually barren parking lot fill up with cars within minutes of the lures being set.

Would it be better if more common Pokémon spawned at a lower CP rate in cities of each biome and lower density areas spawned slightly rarer Pokémon more often at a higher CP rate depending on the biome?
It might give people more incentive to travel and helps give low density area people a chance to keep up. But the lower CP for city dwellers makes it easier for people to catch in bulk.
I dunno, I just wish hiking or travelling was almost as good as camping in the city in terms of Pokémon.

Yeah but if you can consistently land curving greats or excellents you don't lose out on that many balls (seems more likely to stay in) and you can use a 600+ cp mon as a one-off suicide soldier if you ever find a gym that has a type advantage it's useful for.

I'm just a jew for potions plus I catch almost literally every mon I find.

I have time to spend all day gathering balls desu, so I have to admit if someone has less freetime or like... a job, it becomes more difficult and there's absolutely no way anyone should spend money on pokeballs ever... maybe make it like the mainline games or something and add great/ultra balls bundled into the pokeball packs depending on how much you get.

I also want to see pokecenters. Like, suppose it let you select 6 of your pokemon ever 24 hours and fully revived/healed them

No I just have absolutely no pokestops near but a church 10 min away, and I get so much revives that I throw like 50 a day because I get very few Balls, Poke centers are already in the way, those were confirmed some time ago

Also new update fucked up 2 near spawn points that make the game crash, other Pokemon are fine, those 2 specific spawn points crash the game for everyone here, anyone having any similar problems or found any fucked up spawn points?
