I feel like I'm one of the few that actually liked Pokestar Studios, but I do really REALLY like it. It was puzzles in the form of pokemon battles, much like the Battle CDs from XD but improved. Sure some of them were pretty easy but now that they've done a trial run I'd hope they could better explore that design space.

I love all of the challenges and stuff in the pokemon games that use the game mechanics in unique ways. Like pokemon contests, the battle frontier, etc. Pokestar Studios is very similar in that regard and it's fantastic. Puzzles with multiple solutions that can give you different outcomes, using the pokemon battle system as a vessel for the puzzles? Sign me the fuck up

I hope we see it again in some form, because I had a TON of fun with that mode

DPP styled chaining. The remake gives me hope.

Pokestar was fun at first but some of them really got on my nerves, there's no real way to tell what the dialogue will lead to so you just have to guess and then redo it all if you guessed wrong

i'll say something dumb because it's in the last games but i'll say it anyway

But in this kind of open world adventure, having a lot of personnalisation bonus like clothes and secret bases is adding a lot of life to the game

it's like you're a part of this world

in RSE / ORAS, if you have a secret base, it's a bit like you're an habitant of the pokeworld

And in that way i find that awesome, the fact that you can have your very own comfy place decorated like you want, in the world where you have fun
