Also because Pokedex heighs have no point of reference, so for snakelike Pokemon, it's from tip of the head to tip of the tail. Sentret is probably closer to 3 feet tall standing up.

No actual thought is put in to it. Same with niantics weight system. They just slap a fucking number there and send it in to be finalized.

All they have to do to settle this shit once and for all is to add a to-scale player silhouette or model next to the Pokemon in its appearance module in the pokedex.

That way they can show you clearly how a Charizard or a Sentret or whatever looks next to a 5'00" kid or whatever.

His feet touch the ground about halfway through the length of his tube-like body, which means about three of those six feet are all tail and the other three are his torso, legs and head.
