Brazil is too big to get most of its interesting points in a single region (and even the interesting bits are fucking boring). So they either make a region combining random parts of the country like they did with the US/Unova or focus on a couple of states.

If GF decides do make a South American region I hope they choose Peru instead. It sounds cooler.
