i've always imagined a ghost/normal as a sheet - either a single stage or a little sheet that became a bigger and spookier (but still generally simple) cloth

its a spirit so its obviously ghost, and the normal comes from the white, the simplicity of the cloth, and the fact that its a "generic" concept of a ghost

My idea for this was a pure ghost that was basically a small shy black spirit. It would evolve when it learned substitute and was essentially a possessed substitute doll.

I think a neat design for a Normal/Ghost would be based on the classic monster under the bed trope. Imagine a ghost turtle, and its shell resembles a bed, or a comfy place to sleep at least. It peeks its head out the front of it to look around, and they dress their shells to look as comfy as possible to lure people into sleeping on them. Then as they sleep their souls are eaten
