Good. I've always like 1 screen over a 2 screen handheld. Probably won't be able to play DS Pokemon games on it though, and I'm wondering how they'll change the style for Pokemon battles since I doubt they go back to gba format/style.

I hope they create a sleek battle menu that doesn't cover too much.

The lost convenience will kind of suck, but it's not exactly a big deal.

Two screens was actually really nice for turn based things like pokemon and fire emblem.

Also wouldn't this design mean that Pokemon would finally be 3rd person with there being 2 analog/shifty (idk the proper term) sticks, 1 for movement the other for looking around.

Everything since DPPt (when it was impressive just to have two screens) has been a terrible use of the bottom screen, I'd rather them go back to one screen than half-ass the bottom-screen functionality.
Two screens can be done well, and they haven't been doing that. Literally every function of the bottom screen is better off in a submenu than where it was.

are you serious? The vita fucking failed because it was all ports. Like seriously take out the games in your list that weren't ports and you'll have like 4 games. If they weren't ports they were remakes, fuck the only good game the vita actually had was gravity rush. Another issue with the vita was that it had such capable(at the time) hardware that it wasn't worth developing for. I don't mean it was stronger or anything, but it's like, why waste time making a game for an underpowered console with a small userbase when you can develop for something strong with a large userbase? I'm saying the Vita was at a point, hardware wise, where it was pretty much "well if we're developing a game with these specs, why not just go all out on console?"

Nintendo will NEVER release a handheld without dual screens and 3D.
You really think Nintendo will release a handheld without BC for the first time, that not only can't play DS and 3DS games, but makes it incompatible with their whole digital handheld catalog?

I don't remember all the technical mumbo jumbo, but one of the leaked patents made it seem like the handheld will be used as a "supplementary device" when put on a docking station, making the console part stronger.

It's fairly likely the game will have "home" functions (You play on the TV in the same Pokemon DS-current style) and then when you take it with you, the screen is just one, and the system changes to the GBA style where the Batle stuff is all on the one screen. Would be cool to have them as sprites when you're on the go, but it's probably going to be menus popping up and out.

Or maybe they'll go GO style and have the screen in "portrait" style instead of "landscape" that they normally do.
