Played past the first 2 gyms. It's okay. Too many references. Rival is obnoxious. Lots of the designs are still crap, but it wasn't bad.

That thing actually looks pretty cool. It and its prevo wouldn't look out of place in an actual pokemon game, but most of the designs are pretty bad

I played before the full release, and I hear the early game was changed dramatically, but I recall the game being alright. nothing special but nothing particularly horrible either. Worth playing if you're not in it for the story and you don't mind the fakemon.
