>gen 1/2 criticism thread
>competitive arguments are brought up
Pokémon was made to be played between people. Of course if the PvP is flawed it's going to be a valid argument.
It's not all it has but it's a very important feature.
Of course I'm conflicted because I don't think it's valid to criticize early competitive because Pokémon was designed as an RPG and the RPG elements that were in Pokémon are ludicrous in PvP. Waking up costing a turn, freeze being a death sentence, speed determining critical chance, Hyper Beam...
Balance definitely wasn't in mind. So whether or not it is a valid point is up for debate.

Yep, the battle system that started it all was so casual it allowed the very underage that skinwalk among us to frequent this board.

What comic is this actually? I see pages of it as reaction images occasionally but this panel is actually interesting. The fact they wrote different things in each tile is real dedication.

Megg Mogg and Owl
It's about three junkies that try to live their lives, and their various adventures with drugs, alcohol, crime, job applications and other loser stuff
Basically it's slice of life, but the characters are huge fuckups
A lot of it can be read on vice http://www.vice.com/series/megg-mogg-owl
but other things need to be read on girlmountain.tumblr, though most of the earliest stuff is taken off the internet, you can find storytimes on /co/ every now and then
