It probably has low HP, but Carbink-tier defenses, as part of its gimmick with Shields Down.

Think Aegislash. Good defenses in regular form, but once Shields Down activates, its offenses increase dramatically at the cost of its defenses.

It also has complete immunity to status conditions before Shields Down activates.

Now that's interesting. It can switch in on Prankster users and set up easy. It's also protected from Burn while the shield is up, so assuming its a physical attacker, it'll be ruthless once the shields go down.

Of course, knowing GF, it's not going to learn any self buffing moves and have to rely entirely on Baton Passing.

So it is gonna suck ass then. No "dual role" pokemon has ever been good. A pokemon is suited for one role, to have that role change mid battle is always going to be a hindrance, especially since you only get 4 moves.

Like it would have to be full aegislash ridiculous with 150 atk/spatk/def/spdef/ and also have some sort of broken unique move to even be worth considering.

I really like the shield design yet fucking hate the star design.

I always want Gigalith to be a special attack. After all, its a Rock-type that can learn Solar Beam and Flash Canon. Even Roggenrola looks like a blast canon.

But no, SpA is its second lowest stat. Only loosing to it's speed.
