Absolutely hate it. None of the colors go together—in fact, they clash. The pastel blue looks terrible with the flesh color of the head and body, they left the antennae pink so it doesn't even match the fins still, and both the blue and flesh clash horribly with the McDonald's ketchup and mustard colored tail. Really really terrible shiny. One of the worst.

I think it partially depends on the hue of the green and what our brains associate with it, but also on how lazy GF is and how odd some of the green combinations look. A lot of the earlier gens just look like they threw them into some cartoon radioactive waste and called it a day.
Personally I think Marill looks nice, as do Spinda and a few more green shinies, I just like golden Azumarill more.

Umbreon and Espurr yeah, their shinies are nice and subtle whilst still looking good. Umbreon's is sleek, Espurr's is cute.

Chansey... less so. Whilst I love green shinies in general, with Chansey it's this ugly sick-green which just looks awful. Should have gone with a blue or purple, or outright neon green would have even been better.

When you design something it is based on things. To depict those things, you look at their depictions and use them as reference points. Espeon's design is in part based on Carbucles and Carbuncles are most notably seen in pop culture with green colouration. Therefore, referencing that is good design and good fun.

A design's job is to communicate something. Pokemon communicate the real life things they are anologues of because the entire plot and concept behind Pokemon is that it is a hyperbole adventure through regions had by child protagonists who grow up in the process.
The monsters are required to fully convey the ideas they are based on - like anything properly design definitively needs to.

Literally the best thing about Pokemon are the absolutely amazing, meticulous designs of both the regions and the Pokemon themselves and it's laughable that an adult isn't able to process these surface level, intuitive designs. Holy shit.

slurpuff's is fantastic, i feel like its one of the better thought-out shinies, it looks very dessert-like which fits perfectly.

Gen2 mons are pretty much guaranteed to be green shiny because of the limitations of the GBC. Unfortunately this curse also struck Ursaring. Not even gonna bother saving the image because it looks that dumb.

Colorblind as fuck. Cyan is a lot more green than this nasty pastel blue they've got on it. And Magenta would be a lot stronger. In the sprites, the tail has a bright ketchup red, whereas in the model I posted it's more like a muted red. Get your eyes checked out.

I never had a favourite pokemon cause I like way too many to pick one but epic memes aside, Alolan Exeggutor is probably my favourite now. I hope it's shiny is golden like the original.

Differenet person here, but you're wrong. Cyan is the bluest of blues as far as pigments go - hence it being a primary colour - THE primary blue.

Also, Milotic is one of the best shinies in the game. I'm not sure what the colours intend to reference outside of just look good, but having been schooled in all things aesthetic and creative I can't fault it at all.

Why aren't there more Grass-type shinies with Fall foliage colors

Why aren't there more Steel-type shinies with Gold, Brass, or rust-colored colors

Why aren't there more Ground-type shinies with colors based on different kinds of sediment/environment, for example, shiny Diglett (instead of just having a blue nose) being light gray and popping out of dark, ash-colored volcanic dirt? Rhydon's shiny forms are a good example, gray mountains vs beige desert.
