Did anyone ever use this?

As nice as the backgrounds could be, I don't think many people used mail at all.

I used it a couple times in Gen II, but not in Gen III or IV when they removed the ability to write your own messages and you could only rearrange a set list of words. I think I just forgot about it entirely in Gen V, did they let you freeform write again before they removed it entirely in Gen VI?

i don't have any friends to send them too but now that wonder trade is a thing might send one but who ever received it probably would be too stupid to check it

Me and the kid I babysat always traded Pokemon with mail attached in Gen 5 after I got through trading him some nice stuff like the Choice items and the like. It was still nice even if you couldn't write your own messages.

Never bothered. Would've in Gen VI seeing as Wonder Trade was a thing. Shame it was gone.
