Am I seriously the only one who wants megas to stay and continue being made?
How do other people not enjoy having those super hype moments in battle of having your bro power up to a super cool form? Do people just not like awesome shit and want pokemon to stay as the same until it becomes more bland than it already has?

When they make too many megas, it gives them an excuse to lower the amount of new pokemon.

all megas for 1 or 2 stage mons would have worked fine as cross gen evos.

op here, i totally agree with these as well. I think the main problem with megas came about with oras, when it was almost the only selling point besides it being a remake. the only thing really "new". I think it really left a salty taste for everybody, especially with shit like mega-fug.
