I don't really like any of the gen 1 starters
I can't really choose between Sandslash and Arbok, picked Sandshrew somewhat randomly
Electabuzz and Magmar are both boring and redeemed by their evos, Scyther is fine but Scizor is better

Kinda related to the thread, but I like how the series went on, version exclusives started existing out of pokemon from different generations. Like Houndour is now the counterpart to Electrike.
