Masuda Method/Shiny Hunting General

When I used to shiny hunt, I hatched over 2000 eggs with my Japanese Dittos and never got a shiny. I got plenty of shinies from Dexnavving and chain fishing though, and some from hordes, but none from Masuda.

I was lucky enough to hatch around 200 eggs to get a shiny charmander, so far im hatching for a fletchling. No success so far. I most likely hatched around 900-1000 eggs currently. Hoping for the best tho.

The one time I was succesful with the MAsuda method I was able to get a shiny Chikorita and Torchic within an hour of each other. It was like back in the gen 3 days when I found a shiny Zubat and Camerupt within a week only less shocking since I was doing a method.

Back then, during the black and white days, my first shiny I hatched was a Zorua. Present day, I started to use the method, after 200 eggs, a shiny charmander hatched.

I've got 3 pokemon with masuda, Rotom with 30 eggs, Eevee with 705 and Drifloon with 183, doing Cottonee right now, already 573 hatches.

I just came across a shiny female Phantump in Friend Safari. Perfect Attack and Speed IV's, 25 Sp. D, but the rest of the stats are single-digit garbage. Lax nature.

Might use it myself, but I figured I'd ask if anyone was interested in a trade.

Longest was a Zekrom that took a month of straight SRing
My favorite shiny is my Giratina, but I've been enamoured with my Latios recently.

Only MM'd two shinies: Trapinch (753 eggs) and Breloom (532 eggs).

But I'm a retard and didn't breed Bullet Seed onto the Shroomish because I thought it was still a TM like it was in Gen 3.

Currently MM'ing for a Porygon, at about ~220 eggs at the moment.

Is finding a shiny as rare in HGSS as it was in the original Gen II games? I must have played about 500 hours of Silver and never found any, but I got a shiny Zubat in my first half hour of SS.

I'm SRing for Zekrom for the last 3 weeks. I'm probably at 2000 sr by now. Trying to get all legendaries not shiny locked in ORAS.

I've gotten two accidental Masuda shinies after 1 egg; Yanma and Cyndaquil. Wasn't going for either, just completing the living dex. Neither are good for competitive but they do make for very nice trophies.

Just hatched shiny Chespin, but I wasn't even trying. I'm trying to get females of all the starters and I happen to be using a foreign ditto. 2nd Chespin was shiny

I wouldn't worry about it. Wasn't something mentioned about Sun/Moon having some new system to raise IVs through training? I truly hope so, because it would make breeding phenomenally less tedious if I could just aim for shinies, HA's, balltism and whatever egg moves are needed and then just train up the stats that are needed.

MM'ing for the third time now. Growlithe took me 1100 or so eggs. Beldum took me 1200 or so eggs. Just hatched Charmander egg no 1300 but still no shiny. This is getting ridiculous, why does RNG hate me so much? I usually keep my breeding rejects for Wonder Trade but I stopped after 5 boxes of 5 iv charmanders.

Of eggs? probably. Every egg has the same chance. You might get it on your first or on your 2000th egg. But you'll get it eventually if you keep at it.

I spent 15 hours straight yesterday trying to get a shiny hoppip from a horde hopefully today will be the day. Do horde shinies normally take longer than this? I usually get one after an hour or two.
