I always found it strange as a kid that Red had a SNES when the gen 1 games came out in '99 in my home country, but of course it made sense since Red & Green were an early '96 release
And no, they're probably not gonna do that

Well to be fair if I lived in the Pokemon world I would probably rather go out and explore than play games all day. Though I'd probably still do that eventually once the adventure is done.
