Question: why do english subs take SO LONG to be a thing for Pokémon? for other animus not even as big as this one, the community subs them in fucking hours somehow. Not just that, but in other languages like my shitty country's the subs are out very quickly for Pokémon, let's say the episode is out in the morning and subs are ready before night. Not shitty subs, not rushed subs, good quality subs. Of course, with this I'm not saying that the work those guys put into the english subs shouldn't be appreciated, by any means.

But here we are, with english Pokémon subs taking fucking weeks.

Why? WHY??

Those "other animus" aren't subbed by any community, they're subbed by the English license holder. Pokemon takes long because it's one of extremely few current anime series that IS subbed by the community.

Spanish and French Pokemon subs are Google Translate garbage and are not "good" in the slightest, we're actually quite lucky we HAVE quality subs, barely any other language does.
