This for me feels more difficult to assume than I thought. Hmmmm I love both teams but Lance has nothing but psuedo legendaries with those high ass stats that I want to lean towards him.

I think he was a cool character just not used properly. Not actually getting to fight him the first time around was stupid and for a "wanderer" you really should have run into him more during the main story.
