Got them through Wonder Trade throughout the campaign. I needed a decent fire-type earlier, and all the grass-types I could find were Oddish, Gloom, and Tropius.
I don't even like Snivey, it was just my only viable option.

I love my Gastrodon, it works perfectly with Empoleon they check their weaknesses making them an amazing stall duo. Gastrodon usually never dies in my team and can pull its weight.

I always figured I was the only one who didn't try to get a full team of 6 ASAP. Maybe it was the influence of the show, but I was fine with not collecting any Pokemon unless I wanted it in my core 6. When I went through Emerald, I only caught 10 Pokemon by the time I took out the Elite Four.

I bred some mons in Y and transferred them over to my AS run because why not. These are my favorites and plan to use them online later. They are all perfect with 5 IV in the correct stats and EV trained from level 1 in matching pokeballs. I'm trying to stay 2 levels under-leveled from the gym leaders so the game is still a bit fun.

Walrein is indeed the "skeleton" of my team tanky and hits very hard with special ice and water attacks so it has great coverage too!

Playing Alpha Sapphire for the half dozenth time in hopes of finally finishing. I like the game, I just get bored about 7 badges in and restart a lot. I still haven't done the Delta Episode or anything.

Bred a Pidgey egg to be my starter, I'm going with pokemon I've either never used or haven't used in a long time. Mega Pidgeot has grown on me recently and its available mid game without being too overpowering. Thinking of Seviper, Wailord and a wild card to fill out the rest of the team.
