Hard to say. I can't see them being gone completely, but Sun/Moon may be making them a post game addition, if so probably not adding any new ones. The lack of information so far makes me inclined to think this is the case.

On the other hand, they have had a LOT of new things happen this Gen. So it may be that there will be megas in the main game, and new ones, but they're holding off on the release until later so as to not blow their wad too early.

Its interesting to note that none of the leaks seem to have really touched on megas much one way or the other.
