We're going to fight these guys, right?
>>27508953
hopefully not
>>27508953
Probably not in the main game
But after you've completed the Island Challenge and built your own League, you'll be able to fight them as Gym Leaders.
>>27508969
And what would be so bad about fighting them? IMO these guys are better then gym leaders as it adds a whole new dynamic with trials and shit.
>>27509036
You ever met one of those faggots that says things are probably or not probable based on almost no information, just their dumb gut feelings and being an idiot? That's you right now. You're that person.

>it adds a whole new dynamic with trials and shit
This is GF we're talking about.
The trials will most likely be like
>hey go find this four ingredients for me
>just talk with these four people 10 steps away from us and they'll give them to you just like that!
>Wow you did it, you are actually pretty awesome!
>Know what? Let's have a battle! Your team of 6 vs my only one underleveled pokémon! I'm kinda weak but hey I'm not a gym leader, whatever that means!
>Oh but first let me heal your pokemon and give you 99 hyper potions just in case
>oh i lost lol we'll be friends forever now xD

>he doesn't know about the leaks
>>27509107
League faggotry aside, you reek of underage.
>>27509155
The leaks say absolutely nothing about these guys fighting the player or not.
>>27508953
Is there porn of the tanned/black one?
>>27509165
Faggot detected
>>27509173
Oh, that was what you were complaining about? Literally read the official site nigger

>To complete the island challenge, young trial-goers must overcome the trials in store on each of the four islands. These trials are not limited to battling with Pokémon. They take a variety of forms, such as finding items or completing tests of knowledge.
Not all trials involve battling, so you'll probably not need to battle the Captains to proceed with the story.
>>27509268
They all have type specialties, so even if you don't fight them directly, it's safe to assume that you will at least battle pokemon of their preferred type.
>>27510172
>battle pokemon of their preferred type
That role seems to go to the SOS battles against Totem pokémon though.
We know Lurantis is the Totem of the grass-type trial, with Gumshoos possibly being the totem of a normal-type trial, so it makes sense to assume it's the same for the others.
Of course we could battle the totems and then battle the captains after completing the trial, but it sounds kind of redundant and repetitive.
