I think the reason I'm having a hard time believing the leaks is because the leaked art is just so... subpar. It's not even the designs, I could believe the designs. The actual art is a mess. They're like Babbys Discovers Perspective, I see a lot of mistakes middleschoolers make in their sketch books of furry shit and Sonic Original Character Donut Steal. They're very flat, there's no volume, and everything just looks broken from the 'I can't figure out what claws look like from this angle whatever are fingers' hands, to the taffy arms, to the 'OH HOHO THE LEG IS SMALLER CUZ ITS FURTHER AWAY I AM SO CLEVR' feet. As someone who is going to school for design the amount of extra time spent attempting to render the terrible art makes it even less believable. Pitches are supposed to be quick, if color is used at all it's extremely simple (one or two markers tops), and the line art is looser. Here it's Deviantart-level, someone who doesn't know how to draw and who hasn't had any training just started with the final lineart. You can see it in the weird warped outlines of the limbs and features.
