From the starters and the possible evos to the birb dancer and new forms, everything about alola seems excellent so far, and not one pokemon has seemed dissapointing. Its obvious they're showcasing their best designs so far, but I haven't liked so many pokemon like this so quickly before.
The possibility of ending once and for all with HMs and IVs is even better, and the idea we might have the game concept of making our very own league, or at the very least switching up the formula after 20 years sounds enticing as hell too.
Who else is hyped as fuck for the absolute masterpiece that will be gen VII?
>>27498044
Bruxish
>>27498062
is pretty
>>27498044
Ironic because Drampa is the only design I cannot bring myself to like
>>27498044
I don't want to get overly hyped, because the same thing happened to me with both Gen 6 games.
But the massive potential is winning me over. I don't think anything is there I really dislike outside Bewear. I'm pretty psyched that Alola will be my new fav, finally beating Johto/Unova
My only fear is regional variants will go the way of Shellos and Sawsbuck and not be entirely available in later Gens
I only dislike the legendaries so far, everything else makes me hype BADLY. I freaking enjoy everything we learn about Alola.
It's fresh, interesting, wild, open. It WILL be the best region ever. Screencap this.
Everything so far looks promising but I'll wait until the games are out. Don't want to have another XY experience...not to say it was bad. Just didn't live up to the hype.
THOSE
BIRDS
I'm a biologist and seeing pokemon bring allopatric speciation to the game lore is THE GREATEST THING EVER!
Btw shit like vulpix and sandshrew forms being so completely different from the originals mimics something actually happens in real life
>>27498044
I am pretty hyped. I am still not convinced we're going to make our own league (though I wouldn't mind if we did), but even that aside it all looks great and I'm keen to see what the new games play like.
>>27498099
>I don't think anything is there I really dislike outside Bewear.
Ditto
>>27498225
Yeah, its got a cool name and concept but damn I hate it. But that's such a minor thing.
>>27498185
This. I love it when pokemon uses real-life logic and events to make the games themselves better, it works wonders most of the times, and this is no exception.
>>27498044
i just want to be able to switch natures
that's all i want
then the game will be perfect
Pretty great selection for teams so far.
Lots of cool abilities and typings on offer.
Like with Gen 5, the starters are trash but the rest of the dex more than makes up for it.
>>27499208
This, sick of breeding literally hundreds of times to get perfect natures and IVs. It doesn't add anything to the game, it makes it a full time job.
>>27499288
What's wrong with rowlet?
>>27498044
After finishing the game I will play it again just with Dancebirds.
>>27499320
>This, sick of breeding literally hundreds of times to get perfect natures and IVs.
Well, breeding IVs shouldnt be a problem any more, breeding natures isn't that hard though.
I'm more interested in a way to unlock hidden abilities and switch abilities in general.
>>27499498
We have the ability capsule, all they'd have to do is make hidden abilities more accessible, which they seemed to do with horde battles and friend safaris already
Honestly, I'm a little bummed that litten didn't stay quad, and that pink Bear thing is ugly as sin.
But on the other hand, that dope owl robbinhood is calling my name, and everything else in the game has me stoked. Can't wait for more news
>>27499652
Yea My only grievance right now is that the litten evo seems a bit disappointing to me
I'm loving everything. Grubbin is calling my name, and I can tell Rowlet will be fun. Can't wait till November.
Litten and Magearna are the only bad ones, everything else is passable or good.
Litten is something that an angsty teen would post on Deviantart.
>>27500662
What do you think about the possible evos?
>>27498044
I haven't liked so many pokemon since gen IV, I feel like I'm gonna end up catching every alola pokemon just because I can't make up my mind over only 6 of them. I'm gonna get to the end game with more than 50 different pokemon, and I'll have to grind them all post-game, but I don't care, they're all so good it will be worth it.
I just hope bottlecaps aren't limited resources, maybe they add some kind of battle frontier and you can buy the caps with BP? I just want my story bros to be good post-game too.
>>27498044
glad to see a thread like this, every time i think about the new directions they're taking with designs and ideas and mechanics, i get so excited. it feels like when the games first came out, like this whole new place, this whole new game almost.
Bump, I don't want a thread like this to be burried under all of the Gen VII hate threads out there.
>>27498044
>LITERALLY a pedophile
>>27498044
I'm not actually liking most of what has been shown, however I like some like drampa and love mimikyu. Mimikyu is probably one of favorite pokemon as of now, I fucking love this thing.
>>27503148
Mimikyu is great. I'm happy to get another really good ghost Pokemon design-wise. I'm also kind of hoping it's viable in the meta too, though I doubt it.
Maybe one day poison and ghost, my favorite types, will be good.
>>27503044
why is everything that has to do with kids a pedophile to you people? drampa is just the cool gampra of everyone who happens to be a cool-ass dragon
>>27504224
Dumb memers who think "you actually like children = pedophile". Drampa is great, the picture in the OP represents it great.
My question is this...will we ever get a pokemon that evolves because it was subjected to a Status Effect?
>>27504441
>alola eevee
>ghost espeon evolves by leveling up a burnt alolan eevee
>>27504686
Sounds cool, I could also get behind a pokemon that changes form and secondary type when hit with a Status effect.
Alola Ditto?
>>27504977
If its changing forms mid battle it sounds more like an alolan castform. Is there any other pokemon that switches many forms mid-battle? aside from aegislash's two forms
>>27503225
But Gengar is Poison/Ghost and is one of the best Pokemon.
>>27505428
Rotom, Kinda.
>Alolan Rotm possessing different appliances on the new Islands.
>>27505558
Mega evolutions don't count
>>27505584
>gengar doesn't count because mega evolutions dont count
>>27505637
Anon is right.
>>27503225
Gengar has literally and I mean LITERALLY been one of the best pokemon since he was introduced.
He is literally famous for being among the only pokemon since introduction to never drop below OU. Even in the hands of a normie, Gengar is actually ridiculously good.
He didn't need a mega but he got it anyway.
>>27498044
>not one pokemon has seemed dissapointing. Its obvious they're showcasing their best designs so far
Wow, what a shit taste.
>>27505584
Normal gengar is poison/ghost.
Where is the old mon yell at cloud edit
I'm really excited for how comfy the poke ride thing is going to be, i'm so hyped!
>>27504224
I bet you'd trust your kids with Drifblim too, you disgust me.
>>27507513
drifblims are said to kidnap and murder kids
drampas are said to play with kids and be nice to them, leaving once they get their share of food back to their mountains
I would entrust my child on a drampa's care, not on a drifblim, cute as they may be
>>27505725
>He is literally famous for being among the only pokemon since introduction to never drop below OU
starmie
zapdos
>>27505874
>People riding Sharpedos with rough skin.
>>27507745
Zapdos was UU in gen 5
Starmie was UU for a while at the start of X and Y I think
and he said amongst
I want to waverace on a sharpedo.
>>27505578
i want an electric/steel car form rotom!
>>27508325
>Electirc/steel with levitate
>and not one pokemon has seemed dissapointing
SJW fish exists, OP.
>>27508696
And I love trigger fish
>>27498073
