Anyone else using revives and second banana pokemon for gym battling?

The drop rate for potions is so shitty that I can't afford to use them on pokemon that I don't intend to use as defenders.

So I just use my B tier pokemon and use revives to attack gyms at half health.

It doesn't work on your own gyms unfortunately, so you have to hope somebody was kind enough to raise the prestige of the gym enough for you to join without having to battle.

That's an extremely tough call. Those stats are both great. Thundershock is the better light attack, while thunderbolt is a solid heavy attack.

In the current build I think heavy attacks have been buffed, but who knows how things will change in the future.

I can't advise either way, sorry anon. Go with your gut feeling.

Actually it is NOT intended to be this way. The coders messed up and it's going to be fixed on a critical next update coming in the next week.

This is not how the game is intended and this creates more of a problem than anything else, especially for behind the scenes. Silph road is incorrect on its theory. There are methods in place to prevent sites like Pokevision but the shifting of Pokemon isn't one.

The strings will be fixed and everything will be optimized as soon as Google's Goons get in and help Niantic out; which is in the process.

Actual people with actual coding knowledge are coming together now that Pokemon Go has proper funding and doesn't need to rely on incomptence or shaky weekend coders from various Universities and doesn't need an International Lead that let them slide with major pay cuts -- mostly because the Lead signs into through an in-house Skype and supervises.

Anyway..

Google services have been paid for in full. Checks were mailed out middle of last week. The real coders, including a Ban-check team, is being processed. They're familiarizing themselves with Pokemon Go at this very moment. A three-team in three different Regions operating at different hours that coincide briefly to pass off notes or problems encountered.

You're getting quality worked on the game right now but it will take time to undo the bullshit Niantic's ragtag Hindu/Korean shits made.

Oh hello there.

As someone who actually played Niantic's original game "Ingress" since the closed beta days I can tell you right now that the spoofing problem has not gotten any less problematic over the years. Spoofing and botting has become a rampant problem that seems to have no solution other than to hope that it does not personally affect you or your region.

Niantic has tried to time and again stop these cheaters using means such as speed limiters and auto banning software but at the end of the day it ends up screwing over more legit players thanks to false positives than it does stop any of the botters/spoofers.


You know why Botting/Spoofing is so rampant and unstoppable? Because for every one bot/spoof account you can ban another 10/20 accounts can be made and set up to replace it. I have seen it personally done before and the best thing is that these people get no frustration or difficulty in it. They genuinely do not care that they lose a couple of accounts as long as they do what they had intended to do, whether it be making fields, farming keys, destroying shit, and so on.

Niantic cannot do anything about this, and attempting to do so hurts the playerbase more than it does the cheaters in the game. Instead of focusing on stomping out cheaters and shitting on your userbase try making the goddamn game fun and engaging enough to want to go out side and do something. Not give them all the more reason to throw the game away or encourage more spoofing/botting.

I fucking cannot wait for Niantic to try and use their same banning system for GO, once all those false positives go out banning legit players it will hype the shitstorm level beyond maximum. People will fucking want to hang those bastards by the end of it.

Thank God I never spent any real money on this steaming pile of excrement. I give this game about a week before there is a mass exodus of normies unless they bring back tracking. When the game first launched, you could tell when you were getting close to a Pokemon by the number of footprints under it in the radar list, and its position in the list. I don't know man, Growlithe is one of the most common pokemon around where I live, with Eevee not really being that rare either. So I'm not even a little surprised to find gyms full of 4 arcanines and a vaporeon.

Ignoring IVs, will a pokemon caught at a low CP always be worse than one caught at high CP, or does it have potential to reach high CP if I feed it enough? The half circle bar is what's throwing me off since I think it's supposed to be your max CP?

Anyone have any tips for where to find fire types? I'm guessing that "frequency based on terrain (like farmland, beach, that sort of thing)" is mostly unreliable (not untrue, just not reliable), but I figure I might as well ask. Ponyta, Vulpix, Growlithe, they're all too damn rare in my neighborhood, and I haven't seen them at the local mall. I figured I might go into my city tomorrow to look.

If Niantic couldn't fix the tracker, its best to remove it all together until they resolve the issue and most likely add it back again. It really does make sense but people were mostly annoyed because Naintic didn't mention it at all and didn't explain it. They just dont communicate with their own community
