The Aloa forms and Z moves seem much cooler than Megas ever were but that said it still seems stupid to just get rid of them after introducing them.

How bizzare. It's as if it was doing really well before due to some sort of prevelance of water types, and having a really strong Electric type attack, and now both of those reasons it saw so much use aren't applicable anymore.

That's most likely a possibility. After G4 we didn't get many cross-gen evolutions, so maybe one or two if any at all this generation.

Besides, this generation's cross-gen gimmick seems to be natural selection alt-forms.

brings up a good point. I know this Pokemon, and it doesn't have to make sense, but you need some sort of clasp at that location for a watch. It wouldn't make sense to have your Mega Stone there. Also, you're literally going off a circle. That's it. One of the most common shapes there is, along with squares and equilateral triangles. That isn't any sort of evidence.

I, for one, wouldn't be. I liked Kangaskhan more when it wasn't completely broken. I liked using it in Gen V on gimmick teams, but then my mom-bro had to up and leave to Ubers, and using it on Wi-Fi made you a tryhard.

It's a terrible point, because you can see the underside of the watch and that the clasp makes no fucking sense design-wise.

A clasp would be the securing point where the ends of the watch meet to attach to yourself. There's literally no meeting point where that clasp is. It's a socket for your keystone.

Here's a flaw with this picture. Previously, there hasn't been a Mega Stone slot, in the sense that there only exists one "Mega Stone" for the trainer, and it's been built into the bracelet. Yeah, it's removable, as shown in Origins, but it's odd that the trainer's Mega Stone wouldn't just be in the bracelet already.

One explanation is that the trainer's Mega Stone is relegated to postgame content. But seeing as Pokemon Mega Stones cannot be traded, why not just relegate all Mega Stones to postgame content? If Mega Evolution is postgame only, I doubt they would be handing you out Ampharosite and what not before you're introduced to Mega Stones.

They did essentially do that in ORAS, though. I could see this going either way. There isn't conclusive evidence for either side.

The flaw with the picture is putting the mega stone on the trainer. The trainer holds the keystone, which is what the image should've been displaying.

You find a mysterious rock (key stone) and figure out what it means over the course of the game. You get some starter Mega Stone later on in the game (Lati@site, Lucarioite) and then the rest open up in the post-game.

Yeah, keystone is what I meant in my posts. Forgot the term. What you suggest is a possibility. Occam's razor isn't really providing a clear solution: there are logical leaps to get you to either side. The lack of a keystone leads to a certain logical leap, while the idea of removing a key feature of two sets of games is also impractical.
