Hardly. He probably wasn't aware a Pokemon could have its type change that radically. He might have known part of the truth (it gains Fairy typing) and not the rest (that is also gains the Ice type).

it's possible regular Ninetails has been retyped to fire/fairy. It's also possible it's accurate but it gets some minor details wrong. the X/Y leaker that was in contact with pokebeach got some things wrong, like types.

For one, water Arcanine. For another, if you're not aware of something then it's not a leak, it's a guess. This was wrong, end of discussion. What he said would happen did not happen.
