This is gonna be the first time I've bought a handheld to play a Pokemon game since I saved up money to get a GameBoy Advance to play Crystal. It actually seems interesting and different where the region itself actually matters to the Pokemon and gameplay.

I felt like the mystery around the original BW and how fresh and weird everything felt (fucking starter sillhouettes were bullshit) made it more hype but I'm probably on the minority there.
This is Pokemon's big anniversary and GF is making it count.

Yeah, still not buying it though. Both literally and figuratively.

I'm still not totally sold about the huge changes, but I do like how crazy they are going with this.

I kind of hope that there will be a third version that is more traditional. Like, have SM end with the player laying the groundwork for setting up a traditional league, and Star/Eclipse/Z/SM2 happens a few years later.
