I am not regretting the choice GF made by going full 3D models, and they have improved with the expression the 3D models are conveying.

There was an interview with Masuda and Ohmori (as Director) talking about how they learned how to model better by showing more expressions on the Pokemon, right? Look at those birbs, so expressive.
