Idk man, they can only be used one time, once per battle. Not nearly as potent as a mega evolution.

At most it just seems like a free ko, and plus they need to forego a held item. I just see them as super beefy versions of the Element Gems.

It's probably just like Soaring except with multiple Pokemon, and hopefully they won't hand you a Charizard just for the purpose of flying. This also means that you aren't blocked off from different areas if you decided not to use a certain Pokemon.

The exp you get is proportionate to the level of your mon vs the enemy. Knock out a high level mon with a low level, gets lots of exp, do the reverse get little.

so in XY if you fought a level 4 Fletchling at level 6 you'd get the same amount of experience as you would if you fought that same level 4 Fletching at level 80. But in BW youd get less and less exp the the more over leveled you were. A level 3 Patrat would give more to a level 7 than it would a level 10.
