>Finding a shiny in the Safari Zone.
*runs away*
I actually found shiny Nidorina and Nidorina in the Safari Zone back when I was playing Fire Red. And I manage to catch both of 'em haha
>finding a shiny before getting pokeballs

ugh I mean Nidorina and Nidorino
My first shiny was a Marowak in the Safari Zone in Soul Silver. I didn't even realise at first, I was farming Marowaks to get a Thick Club and my eyesight isn't the best so I didn't notice the different colour.
Kept her until I accidently wiped out most of my pokemon in a botched restart.

>mfw shiny exeggcute
>breaks out of first ball
>worry
>doesn't run away
>get it on the second throw
Shit was fucking tense.
>tfw Wally finds a Shiny Ralts
>tfw it's Emerald so you can just manipulate RNG to find one for yourself

I happen to be pretty misinformed on this. What do people mean by manipulating RNG to find shinies in emerald?

It's like a stopwatch which tells you when the shiny appears, so they just hit the exact time the game generates the shiny PID
I found two shinies in the Safari Zone in LeafGreen, a shiny Nidoran (M) and Paras. The twist is that there were fewer than ten minutes between the two encounters. It was sheer fucking insanity.
Both ran after the first few balls. I've never calculated the odds of it occurring, it'd be depressing.

Emerald has broken RNG, relying more on frames than actual RNG. Each shiny frame the game generates has a 1/60 chance or something to be shiny, so if your shiny frame is early, you can easily run into many, many shiny Pokemon. Or you might never. Luck of the draw on each cartridge.
>Shiny Abra appears early game when you only have pokeballs.
That's the real moment of truth.
