I've caught like 4 poliwag and 8 tentacool in that time as well, game is so fucking biased towards "urban" pokemon even if you a coastal town it hurts.

Lets just forget about the fact that you can't find any fire types or anything really cool because the spawns are so sparse out of the town that you can't even go on a "hunt" for anything "exotic".

Then factor in the lack of scanners or even a working nearby function in the game and I'm about done with it.

My friends think I'm crazy for shitting on the game getting worse and worse with every update, they'll keep playing it and having "fun" throwing balls at cp 20 pidgeys until sun and moon come out I expect.

Is anyone else having issues like mine? This has happened since yesterday after the update, which is weird because my game has been fully functional since release date.

Every time I try to log in to my Google account, it authenticates, and then skips the loading screen to go straight to the typical server issues error screen. It won't ever do anything else.

I'm also sure it's an issue with the game on my phone, and not my account. I've tried other accounts on my phone, and they won't work, and I've successfully tried my account on a friend's phone. It's just like suddenly my game client is not letting me play.

I have an IPhone 5S. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as shutting my phone off and on, to no avail. pls help thanks

This is correct, Niantic has special preference with Japan given their Ingress fans over there are very concentrated compared to everywhere else. That is why they always hold events in Japan and make Japan only exclusives a constant thing.

Everyone that's followed the series and has half a brain knows that the series has slowly been stagnating for years, with BW (arguably) being the only real bright spot. Nintendo entrusted Niantic to deliver a game that most knew would have an insane popularity. The IP has never been this revived in popularity since the original Gen1/2 days. Its a big fucking deal that Niantic is shitting the bed with the IP and is causing the biggest revival of the Pokemon franchise to be turned upon its ass and fucked to death.

The Maingame was great when comparing to the other generations' first mainline games. BW was a straight line. D/P was Gamefreak getting a D+ in handling 3D Graphic rendering and is borderline unplayable nowadays compared to literally every single other game, including the ones before it. R/S were about equal to XY in postgame content, but had pacing issues in the maingame, especially once you hit the 5th gym. Gen 2 was great overall honestly for the time. Gen 1 started it all, but doesn't have much beyond that. Especially if you play the virtual console releases and see how dated it is conceptually.

The biggest thing was that Platinum fixed most of D/P's issues, Emerald expanded heavily on R/S, and BW2 saved Unova's region(along with that sweet PWT).

XY had some good concepts going in. The models look nice, albeit the colors could use some work. The environments are well designed, and a lot of people praise the game from the first gym until Korrina and Mega Evolutions are introduced.

Irrelevant. As I said before Pokemon's original hype was around Gen1/2 where it became fucking culture defining for its time. After that the series may have still went on and sure there may have had its continuing support of fans to the series but nothing was nearly as big in terms of Pokemon being popular in the public eye than in the Late 90's/Early 2000's.

GO basically taps that original generation. Those who were fans in the 90's/Early 2000's that loved the games/series/culture but have moved on since. GO brings them back to the game and makes it so that they have reason to want to play again. Not needing some kind of special handheld console and focusing on using Smartphones creating a wider more accessible audience with the primary focus to get all the fans old and new back into the game regardless of how old you are.

I mean you clearly do not understand that we are not talking about the diehard fans who existed from Gen1 and continued to buy every single game/handheld since. I am talking about the GLOBAL POPULACE that has become invested in this game again. Lots of gyms there.. I tried to take over many of them, except that for two (2) fucking times, some assholes would put their pokemon as soon as I dethroned the last team. They were just waiting there for me to dethrone the gym so they could put their as soon as they could.
