I'm surprised very few people bring up the idea of sports-themed Pokemon even though they're actually typical ideas.
Baseball is pretty much a global thing, so how maybe a twin mon of a batter and a glove-wearer would work. The batter is an offensive type and the glove-wearer would be a defensive type.

did you miss my first sentence anon
my point is people rarely bring up, if ever, sports themed mons for pokemon ideas even though they're a recurring thing in the franchise
why? there aren't sport themed animals

>implying pokemon are limited to animals
>blaziken is based on cockfighting taken to a literal and exaggerated level
granted the second one is less sport and more gambling, but still

Because frankly, /vp/ isn't a big fan of fighting types. Poor fighters are almost always in the bottom half in polls of favorite threads and threads dedicated to them rarely last a day and/or for more than 60 replies from 20 unique posters.
Likely a fact that the type dorsn't have too much waifu potential, unfairly attached to bara, and/or houses very controversial designs (humanoids tend to repel people who only want animals to be pokemon; lucario attracts the worst kinds of shitters, etc) or a combination of the three factors

oh so a bunch of faggots whining about designs not being monsterfus?

It's because fighting types stick out like sore thumbs in a random grouping of Pokemon. It's like sticking cosplayers in a zoo exhibit.

how about a fighting type monkey that uses rocks as rugby balls

And yet somehow, psychic types who have Gardevoir, Mr. Mime, Gothitelle, share the type with Gallade and Medicham don't get similar flak?

well the chinese leak has been right so far with the starter evolutions and no gyms, so this will be happening too
