I think I only bred a team once. It was when playing Platinum and didn't want to wait for the rest of the my team. I didn't really do IV breeding or EV training at the time so they mostly just had eggmoves, and even then it was mostly TMs.

I just catch whatever for ingame, I don't even pay attention to natures, except when deciding what moves to keep on a mixed attacker. Then I throw my ingame team in a special box in Bank and build a real team in postgame.

At the start I'm only a stickler about natures.

If I catch something I would've liked to use but it has a straight up detrimental nature (for instance, modest Machop) I don't touch it. But that's as far as my autism goes.

I retardedly bred for months before oras, even had three shinies on the team. Then oras sucked and never got past the 4th gym. Just gonna go back to catching mons.

I catch them and fight with whatever I get. Anything else sucks the fun out
