I've always been a huge fan of the Godzilla movies, and when I first saw Tyranitar I instantly knew I had to get one. I spent all my free time when I was a kid grinding up my Larvitar to evolve him and it was well worth the wait. Tyranitar is my All time favorite Pokemon.

A bro of mine from my first run through Ruby, and he's a Triceratops with armor plating. Pretty Badass.

Gen IV is probably my least favorite in terms of pokemon designs, but one thing they got right was the starters. Grass and Ground is an awesome combo. Offensively anyway.

Back to the me being a Godzilla junkie. Volcarona is basically Mothra if Mothra was a badass and could breath fire. Hoping it gets a mega in S/M

Bats are cool. Dragons are cool. Put them together and you have the best designed Flying/Dragon in the game.

gen 6 - goomy because slugs again

Poliwrath is because I traded my Charizard for a friend's Action Replay'd Mew, so Poliwrath took the role of "starter"

Typhlosion was cool because it could fuck up Silver's Feraligatr with thunderpunch, first starter I really liked, probably my all-time favorite

Metagross fucked shit up for me in Colosseum, has a great design, had a fantastic cry before gen 6

I loved the Ralts line but Gardevoir was always too girly for me, Gallade was an answer to my prayers and I love its mega too

I fell in love with Galvantula's design at first sight, and it's useful with a unique typing. This one was difficult because Gen 5 has a fantastic set of pokemon

Chesnaught is basically the same as above, I love its bulky tanky appearance and it clutched out finishing Diantha for me with a crit seed bomb

Apart from Typhosion, you got some good taste right there.

I: Hard pressed between Nidoking, Gengar and Sandslash. Went with Sandslash tho because it's the cutest.
II: Shuckle is just so goofy I love it.
III: Gen 3 has some of my favourite mon, with Blaziken being #1. Used it in my Sapphire (I was that kid that used only their starter) and it was a beast. Realised I liked it much more than I thought when I got older.
IV: Cute 'mon. Kicking ass in my Plat playthrough. Why is it so good.
V: The fact it's based on the Nazca Lines is pretty neat. Tried it out on my X playthrough because heard people hating the design. Dazzling Gleam worked wonders for it.
VI: I like birds. Very brave bird.

I hated it back in the day by association with weedleand cause it was an asshole in the anime, used it in ORAS cause it got a mega and ended up really liking it before I even got the beedrillite
I realized doing this that the sinnoh dex sucks more than I thought. Before it I really liked the Ponyta line

water type is one my favorite types and this little guy was really cool to me, I really liked the added electric type. Sucks he evolves into an obese fuck but oh well.

another one I used in ORAS, I actually refused to evolve my cacnea for the longest time cause I liked the little round wobbling cactus, I eventually did and like cacturne just as much

Unexpected combo here, I like most of them because I like rocks and gems a lot, as well as the steel and rock types being my favorite. Spiritomb is like the only outlier because I don't like many Pokemon from that gen and never got him in game.

>Raichu (Gen 1): Out of all the Pokemon from Gen 1 he always stood out for me really well. Great color scheme, and a cool design. Very memorable to look at
>Slowking(Gen 2): Easily my favorite psychic type. Such a cool concept for an alternate evolution line for something so dopey. Allso was very memorable from Pokemon The Movie 2000. One of my main bros in my childhood run of Silver Version.
>Flygon(Gen 3): This was easily the coolest and probably the most unique Dragon design to me. It's goggles are adorable and I love it's Pokedex description. One of my favorite Pokemon of all time.
>Porygon Z (Gen 4): This gen was really disappointing for me when it came to the dex. So many great Pokemon ruined with an unnecessary evolution. Porygon Z was a great evolution though with such an unexpected and cool glitched concept.
>Whimsicott (Gen 5): Really cool and appropriate typing. Really well designed with a great color scheme and just the right amount of stuff going on. Manages to be both adorable and cool at the same time. Has similar hair to my own.
>Hawlucha (Gen 6): I had been wondering if they were going to ever make a Flying/Fighting type Pokemon since gen 2 and was very pleasantly surprised with the direction the went with the concept when the did. A luchador is such a great idea and the design is executed so well.
>Komala (Gen 7): Too early to call it just yet but this is one of the cutest Pokemon I've ever seen and has such an cool and unique ability. The log is a great touch. Far exceeds my expectations for a koala Pokemon that I have been hoping for since Gen 2.

Was really cool to me back then as it was an artificial Pokémon instead of an animal or creature as most of them are. Thought its Jap name was cool sounding too. Still top tier bro but don't really use it as much as I would like.

I only really started using him in W2 but turned out to be much much better than I imagined him to be. Became favourite Johto mon from then on and now an essential speedy part of my team. Very good design overall and made the Zubat line useable.

Patrician design in terms of the possessed doll concept. Really cool mon and it struck a chord with me ever since my Shuppet evolved in Emerald. Favourite walking bro in HGSS. Pretty badass guy.

>Gen 4
This guy has always been a likeable goof to me just like in the anime. Cute and creative design that stood out amongst the other Gen 4 mons that were all rather meh.

I really like Cofagrigus because of its Egyptian Pharaoh theme and those ghostly Haunter-esque hands. Mvp in my first Black1 run especially in late game. Pretty much the only one other than Yamask to have this sort of design though I hope Gamefreak will have more creativity in their Ghost types designs in the future just like this guy.

Never played Gen 6 and will probably not come around doing so. Don't really like the gameplay of both XY and ORAS. May be updated if I ever try XY in the future.

XY is good for one playthrough, but when you're done, you're probably gonna realize why it's good only once.

The regional dex is great, number one, and watching the story unfold is kind of interesting. The breeding mechanics are also much better, best they've ever been, and online is really functional.

But that's literally the only good thing about XY. I mentioned watching the story unfold as one of the positives, but you may have misunderstood. The story is fucking awful. But the first time playing, you don't know what's gonna happen so it's fresh and interesting, but when it's all said and done it's dogshit and you never want to go back.

The constant bombardment by NPCs in XY and to a lesser extent ORAS will have you pulling your hair out. Other than the streamlined online capabilities, XY/ORAS are easily the weakest entries to the series. I should also mention XY and ORAS aren't even compatible with each other. The fucking laziness from those fucking kikes at GF. All they needed to do was patch XY to include the new additions OR ASS brought, but they couldn't be bothered. Fuck them.

Infernape is great as a starter, especially with how scarce fire is in Sinnoh. His design is unique and being based on Sun Wukong is not to be taken lightly.

Samurott is my all time favourite. I used him all throughout gen 5 and the samurai motiff is badass. I swept the entire BW2 league with my Level 70 Samurott.

Dragalge has a great design and is the most unique dragon type. It's also Poison/Dragon, two of my favourite types.

Gengar was one of my original favourites, because I really liked the Ghost typing, especially when it's a ghost playing tricks on others.

This might actually be my favourite out of all gens and I find it difficult to say why. I love the design and the lore behind this one.

I suspect that I have a thing for cute Pokémon with a darker side to them.

The design and color scheme always made this one stand out to me for this gen.
>Reuniclus (gen 5)
I don't actually have a strong favourite for this gen and I was a bit out of the loop during this gen as I was a bit disappointed with most of the earlier designs. Reuniclus was something I hadn't seen before though.
>Sylveon (gen 6)
There are quite a few that could be on this spot, but Sylveon was the first one that really stood out to me.
