Pokemon looks better with sprites, but I guess we wouldn't be able to do shit like Amie without models, so I can deal with it.

Models in every other turn based RPG is a terrible idea though, FE looks like shit for example. I'm glad Disgaea went from regular pixel sprites to turning every sprite into a tiny illustration.

Uh... they were very, very bad, and it was a very weak way to do animated sprites with the rigging and manipulating the base. I guess it's an opinion thing but I refuse to believe anyone woudl consider them "cool" or "dynamic". In effect it was basically the same thing as what XY did, only because they were sprites the method of animating used looks extremely cheap, and it works much better with 3D models. I agree. Sprites had an spirit to them and some models have errors. Plus I don't like the washed out colors even if they're supposed to be closer to the official artwork.
But on the other hand we wouldn't have things like amie without the models and I have hopes this kinds of things get more exploited in the future, like more dynamic battles with better animations.
I'll still miss sprites tho.

No. The models look fine in the game already; most autists on this site are just used to seeing the tiny showdown models where the stylistic outline gets in the way of the actual details and they just loop the boring idle animation.

Models have actual animations and everything in the real game, the only things wrong with them are the outline (because it gets in the way at a distance), and the dumb floating models (Xatu, Skarmory, Tropius).

Pixel based sprites were a side effect of extremely low resolution. They were always "tiny illustrations".

1. Get more vibrant colours. I know it's supposed to look more like the art but the washed out models look like shit.

2. Fix the flying models. How hard can it be to make standing/flapping models instead of the retarded gliding models? Salamence, Swellow and Xatu looks like utter shit.

3. More of an optional one, but give each pokemon several different animations that they'll do when idle. Gives so much life to the battles.
