All the serious players are using Showdown to figure out their Worlds teams since it's faster to make changes and get games on that.
Plus there's literally nothing you can do in ORAS/XY now to prepare for SM since GF will enforce the pentagon rule again to give newcomers a better chance and to give the meta a quick refresh (forcing people to use new Pokemon until they can get their old reliable ones).
