Opinions on Megas /vp/? Do you like them or hate them?

They broke the meta but made otherwise forgettable Pokemon fan favorites.

So it kind if balanced itself out.

The designs are a mixed bag, but I do like some a lot.
Gameplaywise (in the story anyways) they don't get much use out of me unless I just want to Mega Swampert a level 3 zigzagoon just to be a dick.

I love 'em.

I really hate their official artwork though.

Needed for outdated Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon like the starters.

On the other hand it forcefully pushes some Pokemon into the lime light because they get absurd stat boosts.

Many of the Megas for single stage Pokemon could have been a slightly weaker evolution.

Im sad it only lasts in battle. Some of the mega designs are x1000 better than their base design.

I think most of the designs are pretty bad and I really hope GF does something to reimplement the mechanics and designs in the future.

I also don't like how you can only use one, how it's not a permanent evolution, and how cross gen evos are pretty much pointless against just shoehorning onto an irrelevant pokemon something with absurd stats and gimmicks.

I don't really like them at all.

I like some megas, but others are just absurd. I think mega stones should just be glorified held items. Look at Garchomp, for example. You can run it scarfed, bulky, or you can go mega-chomp. It is used as an item, not the entire meta for the 'mon.
